These necklaces are made from Chirimen and polyester fabric and hold a metal pendant with an auspicious design. They are flexible and so can also be worn around the wrist or tied to an accessory such as a bag.

The pendant features a plum blossom (ume) motif with five round petals. These flowers appear in late winter and signal that spring is coming. Thus, they are a symbol of optimism.
